I think we need to aim to promote from our group. It's a tough one, but at the same time there's no team thats out-and-out better then the others, so if results go our way it should be good. On our day we've got as good a side as anyone and in my opinion we've got almost enough depth to keep a similar strength side on all tournament.

I think its a good idea that we are not taking too many inexperienced players with us.

And it begins today. We take on WI in our opening game. WI are expected to qualify for the next round, so we need to cause an early upset to kick off the WC.
All the best to the National side..

So the short of the strategy is that we're going to try grind out our 50 overs on Green/Windy, as we believe the Windies are a bit superior to us in ratings (10-15k), That involves a bit of negative batting, but we should still have enough in the tank to get up beyond 220 with some luck.
And the bowling is fairly conservative, with a couple of aggressive spells thrown in to mix it up a bit. Closing with Nasser could be the key for us. And we're using all 3 mediums mixed in with Musa to keep it tight.

Should have moved Hadad further down below Moi Moi, lol.
Actually, gutted to lose that one. We had a lot smarter tactics, we're just unlucky that Marley (and Hacker) are better then even our best bats Hamdan & Saleh. We probably would have expected more from our all rounders Hash & Hamdan with the bat as well.... especially since we only needed about 3 an over while they were at the crease.
Oh well, onto game 2. Must win for us now.

Was disappointing to lose, as we looked clear favorites at one stage. We were actually cruising at 5 runs per over. The key was that our middle order failed us. There was not much pressure on the batsmen as the RRR wasn't too high.
Anywayz the positives are that our bowling was real good, as expected. Now we need to sort our batting orders and win the next games. Plus our NRR is gonna be better amongst the teams that lost last night.
