In the places like Asia, You need top Spinners, or really pacy bowlers like Brett Lee. England dont have a pacy bowler. Ajmal Shehzad was pretty pacy as he could do reverse swing.

Looks like England are safe. But Seems like we are going to have to Rely on Dernbach in the seam attack.
But saying that I thought Bopara was brilliant with the ball against the Windies so having him and Luke Wright in the team allow a variation of pace. Could help.

TBH, actually glad Australia lost. Gives the team a reality check and our batsmen and Tait, Johnson and Lee are due to click for a match. Means we get to most likely play India at Ahmedabad, and Pakistan will play West Indies. Knowing Pakistan, they will find a way to lose against the Windies.

I believe, the winners today will play Australia, while the losers will play SL in the quarters. Hmm, interesting choice.

England bring another South African Player, Jade Dernbatch. Ive heard hes the leading Wicket Taker for the Lions recently. Lets see what he can do. I doubt i they will let him play as they have Tremlett He's been in good form for the lions and can bat more than Tremlett can these days. Plus Tremlett was terrible the other day. As long as they realise that 2 spinners (Yardy ISN'T a spinner) are needed in the subcontinent, I think England have a good chance.

Looks like Australia are gonna set a target of close to 300, if not more, for India.
Chances of India going out in this round seem high.

Maybe not 300 andy, more like 260-170ish. Really glad punter got his hundred, he's in the zone at the moment, no mucking around with the celebration.

Ya my bad. I was following the match on cricinfo and thot I saw 255, when it was 225.
the match looks like it can go in India's favor now.. with only 105 runs needed from 120 balls.

Dilshan and Tharanga slam centuries as England are reminded of the thrashing they received from SL in the 1996 quarters
