Problem is, quite a few people lie about their acadmies without an incentive to. So I garantee more will lie with one. (That said, given a week's notice, I can tell).

so once again i find myself answering these posts 2 in the morning:(
so if i understand this right, you are encouraged to keep an academy at the same level? and as rob said people could lie, how would you judge this?

I can tell you right now that this wont do any good in regards to my academy. My youth academy level is currently at non-existant and not likely to change anytime in the near future

Oh no you guys got it all wrong.
I am not suggesting this to encourage people to invest, im suggestion this to encourage people to sell.
Ill try and explain again.
If i pull a reasonable/reasonable/reasonable wrist spinner with average secondaries and 2 relevant talents, i would expect to get maximum points, but if i keep him in my NE academy the points get cut down and cut down BIG time, because he wont be as useful as someone with a high end academy. Now if i decide to sell that same pull (straight away or with-in a week) i then get maximum points again.
This only requires the academy levels of a manage who decides to keep there pulls and as R0b said after 1 update you can tell if they are lieing or not and can adjust the points accordingly.
If a manager decides to sell just give the points you see fit for that pull.
I hope this makes more sense, i can explain abit more in detail but am hoping you guys see the idea and fill in the blanks.

personally I like the weird curve-ball competitions.
My favourite being a prize for the worst pull - a lot of people pulled in that too.

Well its up to you/and the rest to decide what type of comp you would like to run, you could always give 1st, 2nd, 3rd and worse pull all a prize.
Don did say he would put in some 1 month memberships also.
You don't have long before new season starts and i think you should have it up by now or tomorrow to give people time to see the comp and think about it.

Yeah sorry I havn't posted much in this topic. Been a bit busy lately (had my first cricket game of the season on the weekend etc). I'm not a huge fan of the academy idea, my academy was only at good when I pulled Salman Mousa and now I'm thrilled I didn't sell him early on. One of the best parts of the game is pulling a 16 year old and training him throughout his career so I don't think we should discourage that. I think if we could get enough people who are willing to donate we could have a weekly best and worst pull. Even if its only 1 month membership each. I think that would get a lot more people interested as if you miss out on one prize you're still a chance for the other.

Lets go with the WORST pull idea. I think it will be fun... Each skill at atrocious gets a point. and depending on the number of prize sponsors, we can give the top X managers the prizes at the end of the month.

Yeah, was interested in a seniors only comp, but need everyone to contribute with credits as I have only 43... I could get the required credits at the end of the month, for a 8 team league.
