hey do you think since Ash mostly pulls uae and has alot of players for uae
we could get a hush hush deal going with him
throw in a couple of free 12 month memberships...lol.....doubt it...lol
we could of awarded it to the people who pull the best YP's BUT the difference would be they need to pull for a certain amount of time to be eligible
example they might pull a massive gun after pulling for two weeks if they do not keep pulling for the amount of time we set they won't receive that membership
example we say it runs for 10 weeks if we have say two to give away they must post their YP's on here every week without fail to be eligible
have a panel of judges who are exempt from winning the prizes....and at the end there u go

I would of thought R0b's predictor and stats he has would of been enough to drive people to the off-site... Something to consider. That's one of the reasons I joined the uae community. Seems like the stats have now slowed down.. I lost interest when Ash started to lose interest in fixing his game. You guys know a lot of them (11th over, power on BH/acc). But really I don't see the point when I'm not getting anywhere.

I dont want to see power get fixed, i like it how it is.
Power shouldnt be needed on all players in SOD IMO, tech and skill is way more important and you can use the pace of the bowl to get boundaries/runs. power to me is hitting lots of 6's or hitting over the infield for easy runs or 4's (which is needed much more in T20), or just being very aggressive and seeing the ball go high and far (or just high)... (but it comes at a risk, so high powered guys using that power IMO should be more likely to get out)
You should do averages as well as the SR, cause you might find your average going down also, which could be the cause of the SR going down cause they cant stick around long enough to get settled and make big scores.
I would like to see (if it aint already) a exceptional/exceptional batsmen with WC power be more likely to get out over a exceptional/exceptional batsmen with average power, but also more likely to make quicker runs and more boundaries. like what (A) (N) and (D) are suppose to do. but you set (D) or (N) orders the batsmen plays carefully until settled and then unless with his power. I don't believe this power turns 1 into 2 and so on, if so it should work the other way around also, a light touch that could of made you 3 runs turns into 1 cause you hit it to hard and the ball made it to the fielder quicker.
So i guess power may need a tweak but a different IMO to make it more realistic and not so important in SOD.
I have always believed and have always done so since playing no matter what others said, had 2 highly powers players (opener and 3rd or 4th batsmen) and have an accumulator and/or bh with low power go together, my keeper will never have massive amount of power and neither will my finisher.
for example.
1. Some type of talent like opener and seam spec (highly powered) 2. Accumulator (low power) 3. Some type of talent like skilled bat and seam spec (highly powered) 4. BH (low power) 5. Finisher (medium power) 6. Keeper (low-med power) 7. Seam AR (high power) 8. Spin AR (low power.
something like that, though i have never had the right talents but i had this basic set-up for since i started, and i see no point in having massive amount of power on everyone unless T20. and i hope it stays that way or make some changes to make this more effective.

(but it comes at a risk, so high powered guys using that power IMO should be more likely to get out) It should work like that. Should. but doesn't. You should do averages as well as the SR, cause you might find your average going down also, which could be the cause of the SR going down cause they cant stick around long enough to get settled and make big scores. I have a PhD, you'd think I might notice that. You'd also think that not hanging around would actually make the BH count go up as they'd also not be able to score as easily, given we know power simply adjusts the dot ball rate. I would like to see (if it aint already) a exceptional/exceptional batsmen with WC power be more likely to get out over a exceptional/exceptional batsmen with average power, but also more likely to make quicker runs and more boundaries. It isn't for getting out (probably due to RR pressure) and the whole single scoring table totally removes the more boundary thing, that isn't possible, only less dot balls is. like what (A) (N) and (D) are suppose to do. but you set (D) or (N) orders the batsmen plays carefully until settled and then unless with his power. I doubt this is true and just the human mind finding an expected pattern where none exists. BTW, the famed settling in period... 8 balls. Yes, 8. I don't believe this power turns 1 into 2 and so on, if so it should work the other way around also, a light touch that could of made you 3 runs turns into 1 cause you hit it to hard and the ball made it to the fielder quicker. In FTP, power turns dot balls into 1.8run balls (on average). So i guess power may need a tweak but a different IMO to make it more realistic and not so important in SOD. Not sure where I said anythng against this... I just don't see the point in the ME scoring the way it does. Anyhow, mine doesn't and is working rather nicely thank you very much. The new ball penalty for spinners is misapplied in the match engine... Ash denies it, but I have a 1/1000000 probability he's right... I'll let you choose the odds. Either way, you get a small (2 runs, 0.1 wickets) penalty for bowling a spinner in overs 1-11. Worth avoiding by using a 6 over opening spell since the cost is effectively 0.

Is there also a penalty for the first 11 overs in 20 20?

8 ball settling period seems like nothing, no wonder why you see a cluster of 6-7 wickets.
I didnt see your average stats on your data when you post, thats why i brought it up.
Not sure what you meant by this?
You say power turns dot balls into 1.8 runs, is that all it does? or does it turn 1's into 2 and 2's into 3's or higher rate of boundaries?
I guess thats why BH works nicely with low power, cause if high power turns dot balls into 1.8 runs on average then its less likely to trigger and boundaries are better then 1.8 runs.
I believe power needs a change but i also feel nothing can change Ash's mind about anything.

Is there also a penalty for the first 11 overs in 20 20? I've not checked, given Ash denies it in SOD, I'd probably avoid the 5th to be safe, the cost is tiny... and 2 runs is a lot more in T20.

You say power turns dot balls into 1.8 runs, is that all it does? Yes. It can't do anything else or does it turn 1's into 2 and 2's into 3's or higher rate of boundaries? No, it can't do that, if a ball is scored from, it will (on average) score 1.8 runs - NOTHING changes that except BH/acc triggering on dots. I guess thats why BH works nicely with low power, cause if high power turns dot balls into 1.8 runs on average then its less likely to trigger and boundaries are better then 1.8 runs. Exactly. Acc works too because it triggers so often. I believe power needs a change but i also feel nothing can change Ash's mind about anything. It isn't really his mind that needs changing... I'm sure he's completely lost interest in FTP (about a year ago, before I quit as MOD - partly as a result) the only reason he keeps it going and reduces bugs and adds the occasional feature is he gets a tidy income... he claims MaccyD's would pay better... maybe if he considers the whole time he spent on the game... but anything before now is gone (no getting that back) - so no point counting it, his income to time spent now must be MUCH better.

He's income must be hugh (if he likes to admit it or not) with all the comps that are ran each season, how many membership is brought each season and how many renames there are each season = to a massive amount of cash. And his server wouldnt be much compared to what he is getting. what maybe 5-10%. It would be sad if he lost interest as the game would probably die off abit, as its only just started booming i guess. I wonder if he would sell FTP

Well, considering that, probably our next prize should just be some paypal cash rather than memberships
