Based on a recent thread on the ftp forums, it may seem that the FTP Match Engine (ME) may not function as expected, when players reach higher skills.
Bowlers seem to get a very MASSIVE advantage.
I aint an expert, but am sure many would have noticed that.

Indeed, many have known that for years.
One of a number of fairly significant ME flaws.

So no point in training your player up to world class or higher?

I certainly wouldn't take a BATSMAN that far. Bowlers are a whole different ball game.

Yeah, with benefits going to the bowlers, much better to train the bowlers to higher levels. I was considering selling a couple of my oldie bowlers, but will keep them for one more season...

so are you suggesting batsmen up to spectacular and bowlers high as you can? I'm thinking about elite for one of my spinnerss

yeah, though elite may be pointlessly expensive and slow.

that's true, but I hate the plops at 30, I mean my players are very good at 28/29 and the season after that they're slipping, all my hard work in the bin. I think Ash should extend that. I mean in real life, I know this is a game:P but in real life players now play till 37 and sometimes even higher:)

I think with the change WC batsmen arent as bad.
I plan to train my finisher to WC and my finger spinner to legendary

Which change? I saw none that will change the batting balance between batting skills.

The fielding change, now batsmen arent been caught off every couple of overs.
And the fatigue change might assist batsmen if it doesnt get changed/fix.

Just adds to my theory good bats are pointless.

Iv'e always thought that this game is a bowler biased game.

And quite rightly. Everything is bowler biased.

Now that batsmen have a chance to use there skill instead of been caught off any type of ball at any time, i would of thought better skilled batsmen could take advantage of this and get settled and make more runs.
