Well I thought the group stages were dull and boring and really pointless. Then Ireland beat the Poms. Knew it was good for something.... ;D

Lol.. we had two one-sided matches today. Zim v NZ and the shocker of a match between Bang and WI.
Hopefully Aus v SL will be a good one.

Hopefully Aus v SL will be a good one. Should be, SL have been talked up quite a lot so it'll be good to see how they go against the reigning champs.

Australia v Sri Lanka should be a cracker. Will also be interesting to see who will replace Doug Bollinger in the Australian squad.

Pieterson injured and sent home, massive blow for the poms there. On the other hand that was a fantastic win for them against the Saffas.
Hussey in for the Aussie could be massive, It'll either be Cameron White or his brother who will miss out on selection because of it. Huge call that.

Was a good victory for the English side yest, especially after the defeat to Ireland. The group seems kinda open still, although I expect the top nations to pull away from the bottom.

Massive call to pick M. Hussey, I was thinking they would bring in another paceman in Siddle or Nannes. Disapointing to see the Aus v Sri-L matches washed out and KP heading home injured!

I suppose the sub-continent wickets do not need an extra pace bowler.

I suppose the sub-continent wickets do not need an extra pace bowler. They have actually flown Nannes out there in case one of the fast men get injured. That way they can be replaced by him straight away.

England to win!!!
Just wish they'd drop Yardy, Play Bopara more. Can't believe we didn't take Panasaer with us.

Sure he doesn't really spin it and he doesn't take wickets. But he restricts well and on the flat pitches over there you need to reduce the runs as much as possible.

We need another wicket taker and Yardy doesn't get many!

From what I remember of him Panasaer can't be much better though. Plus Yardy can bat while Panasaer is bloody hopeless with the willow.

You also remember that game a few days ago, where a certain nation lost to minnows in Ireland ;D
