Ok, never really ran into the problem before. But I am more or less down to 1 captain left at my club. Cap+ If that captain wouldn't fit into the team selection, would it be sensible to choose an average captain ? That is my question

Of Course!
Was just wondering if it has a massive effect from being an expert captain to an average cap in your team.

Of Course! Was just wondering if it has a massive effect from being an expert captain to an average cap in your team. From what Ash has said, it's a tiny modifier to each players skills, on an individual basis, it's almost nothing, but over 11 it adds up to something noticable. I've always thought of the difference to be ~1-2 levels of summary IN TOTAL, so if you gain that much but having a better player than captain, pick the better player. Also you won't hit the extreme low anyhow.

It's always just been too hard to gauge without any tangible / visual aids to help you judge the benefit.
