With the U19 WC just one week away the touring squad has been announced. We obviously have a lack of spinners this year but our seam depth is extremely impressive. I'd just like to say good luck to my fellow management team, and hopefully we get some decent results for the community to celebrate about.
It should be a cracker guys, make sure theres plenty of banter about! ;D
Touring Squad:
Salman Abba Kalid Ahmed Azamat Bagatov * Trent Copeland Aaron Habib Zeke Haddad Jakeem Hasan Fadil Issa Khalil Jaber Rashad Jaber Anwar Jabir Cemal Kaleel Naji Mahmoud Rabah Murat Kadeem Sam Kareem Shadi Grant Smedley Akil Yousif *

Hopefully we have a strong campaign and see plenty of banter in the community. Unfortunately match time does not suit me!

I wonder if Jamar Omar will get on the squad. I sold him a little earlier for a nice sum.

GAME 1:
Result: UAE U19 won by 83 runs Toss: USA U19 won the toss and elected to bowl. Man of the match: Kalid Ahmed (3 points), Salman Abba (2), Jared Walton (1)
Match Ratings USA U19 UAE U19 Batting - Top Order: 9,139 9,342 Batting - Middle Order: 7,374 6,974 Batting - Tail: 4,260 4,073 Bowling - Seam: 8,727 (8) 8,513 (10) Bowling - Spin: 9,246 (2) 0 (0) Fielding/Keeping: 8,697 9,162 Overall: 149,080 147,536
Game 1 saw us give a real slap in the face to the USA side. For 4 seasons they have been throwing matches left right and centre to give their players an experience advantage coming into this WC. As you can see it played no effect at all with our boys playing magnificently. Kalid Ahmed and Salman Abba were the stars for us with the bat as we posted a lowish total of 237 in hard/cloudy conditions. With the ball they got off to a good start but we clawed our way back in with the likes of Shadi and Hasan taking 3 wickets in 5 balls. From there it was a steady falling of wickets which won us the match.
A great effort from the boys and this performance shows everyone what our side can really do. Onwards to game 2! ;D

The second innings was a see-saw with them getting ahead earlier, but the wicket taking abilities of our bowlers just got us right back in the game.
